Jessica Villalobos

 Jessica Villalobos serves as Chief Operating Officer at Novo Legal Group, where she oversees the systems, people, and operations that support the firm’s work and its clients.

Born in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, Jessica moved to northern Colorado with her family as a child. After navigating the U.S. immigration system for many years, including as a former DACA recipient, Jessica recently became a United States citizen, marking an important milestone in a journey that has deeply shaped both her personal life and professional career. Jessica began her legal career in 2013 as a receptionist at a local law firm. Through years of hands-on experience, she advanced into paralegal and supervisory roles before moving into firm leadership and operations.

Since joining Novo Legal Group in 2018, Jessica has played an integral role in the firm’s growth, helping develop the systems, teams, and processes necessary to provide thoughtful and effective representation to the communities Novo serves. Her own immigration experience has given Jessica a personal understanding of the uncertainty and complexity that can accompany the legal process. She remains deeply committed to ensuring that clients are treated with dignity, kept informed, and supported throughout their cases, while also building an organization capable of delivering high-quality legal services as it continues to grow.

Outside of Novo, Jessica regularly volunteers in her community, including serving as an interpreter and helping individuals connect with resources that can help move their legal, personal, and community needs forward. She is also the proud mother of two sons. Her oldest, now 16, is a third-degree black belt and a member of the U.S. national martial arts team, which keeps Jessica busy traveling, supporting competitions, and cheering him on. Her youngest is four and keeps life equally full in a very different way. When she has time to recharge, Jessica enjoys weekend cabin trips in the mountains, plenty of tea, and more than a few sweets to go with it. Her experiences as an immigrant, mother, volunteer, and professional continue to shape her commitment to community, service, and helping others navigate complicated systems with greater confidence and support.
