Aaron Slade
Aaron Slade is a bilingual civil rights and employment attorney at Novo Legal Group who works with clients who speak both English and Spanish. He represents people whose rights have been violated by powerful institutions, including government agencies, police, prisons and jails, and private employers.
Aaron's practice focuses on two core areas. In cases against the government and public institutions, he works on matters involving police excessive force, unlawful arrests and detentions, jail and prison abuse, denial of medical care in custody, disability-rights violations, public-records and transparency disputes, and impact litigation.
In cases against private employers and companies, he represents workers in matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage theft, unpaid overtime, and failure to accommodate disabilities or medical needs.
Aaron's approach to litigation is built around direct attorney-client partnership. He takes the time to understand what happened, how it affected them, and what they want the case to accomplish.
For many of his clients, justice means securing a remedy for the harm they suffered, holding a powerful institution accountable, and pushing for changes that prevent the same thing from happening to someone else. Aaron helps clients pursue those goals with a tactical approach focused on reaching a meaningful resolution—whether through settlement or a trial in court.
Aaron graduated Order of the Coif from the University of Colorado School of Law, ranking in the top 5% of his class. He also represented clients through the University of Colorado Civil Practice Clinic, worked on constitutional-defense issues with the Colorado State Public Defender, contributed to immigration-defense work, and interned with the Korey Wise Innocence Project.
Aaron graduated summa cum laude from Portland State University with a B.A. in Criminal Justice and Criminology.
