Melissa Escobar

Melissa, born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, has a rich family heritage that spans from Zacatecas, Mexico on her mother's side to El Salvador on her father's side. Both of her parents immigrated to the United States in the 90s, and their experiences navigating the immigration system have deeply influenced Melissa's career path.

As a daughter of immigrant parents, Melissa understands firsthand the struggles and complexities of the immigration system. This understanding has inspired her to study Criminal Justice and law at the University of Colorado Denver, with an expected graduation in December 2022. Melissa is committed to using her education and experiences to make a positive impact on the lives of families facing similar challenges in the immigration process.

With aspirations to become an attorney specializing in immigration law, Melissa joined Novo Legal to gain valuable experience and contribute to the firm's mission of advocating for immigrant rights and civil liberties. In her spare time, she enjoys playing soccer in various leagues across Boulder and Denver and spending quality time with her family and friends. Melissa's passion for justice and her drive to make a difference in the immigration field make her an invaluable member of the Novo Legal team.
