Aaron Slade
I'm a civil-rights and immigration attorney focused on impact litigation and constitutional defense. I graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law in 2022, Order of the Coif.
Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, I graduated summa cum laude from Portland State University in 2013 with a B.A. in Criminal Justice and Criminology.
As a student-attorney, I fought for the constitutional rights of criminal defendants at the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender and successfully litigated wage claims for employees at the University of Colorado Civil Practice Clinic. I also contributed to the defense of immigrants facing deportation, honing my skills and commitment to protecting the rights of vulnerable populations. My experience includes an internship at the Korey Wise Innocence Project, where I reviewed crime-lab reports and developed strategies for potential innocence litigation.
From 2013 to 2019, I worked at Standard Insurance Company as a Disability Benefits Analyst and later Senior Claim Specialist before entering law school in 2019. At Novo Legal, I represent immigrants in removal proceedings and individuals challenging police misconduct in federal court.
