    Associate Attorney

Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Collin moved to Colorado to attend the University of Northern Colorado, where he graduated with a degree in Political Science and Philosophy. During his time as an undergraduate student, Collin became involved in local Greeley advocacy circles, helping campaign for environmental justice and racial justice matters. He then began a master’s degree at Colorado State University where he studied American electoral politics, international relations, and quantitative analysis. During this time, Collin became the Vice President of the Greeley Interfaith Association, where he helped lead efforts to stop anti-Muslim hate that was arising during the 2016 election cycle.

To mobilize support for immigrant and refugee communities in Greeley, Collin then, along with others, started the Immigrant and Refugee Center of Northern Colorado (IRCNOCO), where he then served as the organization’s inaugural Director of Advocacy and Development. Through his advocacy efforts, oversaw a team of community navigators who worked with clients on various immigration issues, he lectured at universities across the state, facilitated community partnerships, and participated in national and international conferences on immigration policy reform and refugee resettlement. When the COVID-19 pandemic came, Collin’s team mobilized in Greeley to raise funds to keep immigrant communities in their homes by paying for their rent, buying groceries, paying utility bills, and paying for medical services.

In 2020, Collin transitioned to legal studies at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, focusing on immigration law. As part of the Immigration Law and Policy Clinic, he represented detained immigrants, advocating for their release and defense against removal.

As an Associate Immigration Attorney at Novo Legal Group, Collin now aids clients with naturalization, immigration benefits, and defense in immigration court. Outside work, he enjoys listening to podcasts on global events, reading nonfiction, and aspiring to author his book.
